Victim/Witness Information
A person who has information about a crime, has witnessed a crime or has become a victim of a crime may be subpoenaed to give testimony in court hearings. A subpoena is an order by the court to appear and give testimony under oath about a specific case. The date and time to appear is printed on the subpoena. The Victim/Witness Coordinator is available to answer questions about the case, to accompany you to court, and to provide assistance including transportation, restitution and other concerns.
Court hearings sometimes have to be rescheduled after subpoenas have been issued and served. If you have received a subpoena, it is wise to contact the Victim/Witness Coordinator, Angel Wilson at 620-223-2910 EXT 183 or Judy Hood at 620-223-2910 EXT 182. Ms Wilson or Ms Hood will be the best contact to keep you fully advised on any delays, changes, or cancellations.
